"I've been an Accounting Employee for almost nine years..."
and it was a life changing experience. After earning my Bachelor Degree in Accountancy I became a Sales Auditor in a clothing company (ZARA) with a small Accounting Team and promoted to Junior Accountant after a year. In my two years there, I was exposed in different areas such as Accounts Payable , Accounts Receivable , Treasury & opening a new corporations (BERSHKA & STRADIVARIUS). Then after two years I have decided to move to BPO. I became a Sr. Billing Associate in the best BPO company in the Philippines, Accenture Inc. Promoted to an Analyst after a year and earned prestigious awards and recognition. I was a 2x Likha Gantimpala Awardee for generating ideas and dollars saving for the company.
For almost nine years as an employee here are my realizations and discoveries :
I can be the best version of myself
I can innovate and make a difference
I still have rooms for improvements ; I can probably make a building out of that rooms.
I can do work outside my educational background
You need to measure if you want to improve
Core Values are very important
Happy employees are the best employees
Engagements & challenges are the best external motivators
I spent 20% of my day just to travel to office and back to our house
You have to handle office politics properly
In some cases you will do tasks routinely 8hrs a day , 5 days a week.
"Being a job ; the CEO of you ; Own my time..."
are my reasons on why despite of the current pandemic, #Covid19 I have decided to give up my stable job to became a freelancer and business partner. This might sound easy to others but this is the most difficult decision I've made in my life so far. It took me a lot of thinking and consultation to my family , close friends and specially to God. It became harder because I'm not only risking my own future but my family as well. I consider it as leap of faith.

“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest..."
as Benjamin Franklin said. This was the foundation of my next steps toward my goal. I started watching video tutorials about #business & #freelancing in youtube. Then stumble on
an advertisement about Filipino Virtual Assistance and now done with my courses and equipped with the sufficient knowledge and skills to be a successful freelancer. I will continue to study and learn new skills to widen my expertise to be a better business partner to my clients.
